History of Family Fest Family Fest started at First Metropolitan Church in 2005 and has touched over 5,000 people. This annual free event is an opportunity to Equip, Encourage and Empower families, especially in Northwest Houston.
Cy-Fair Family Fest
In 2010, Pastor John Ogletree Jr., Judge Bob Newey and Susan Nichols of Mission Cy-Fair met with the vision to invite other churches in Cy-Fair to join the event. They named the event Cy-Fair Family Fest and agreed to continue with the theme: to Equip, Encourage and Empower families. Judy Newey of Newey Images developed the logo which depicts the vision.
2010 Results
Church members and outside volunteers used their gifts and talents to support the 1st annual Cy-Fair Family Fest. Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, family activities, unique exhibits, vendor displays and interactive games. We also hosted health screenings and educational seminars aimed at empowering families with resources to prosper and stay healthy during challenging times.

2011 Family Fest
In 2011, the Cy-Fair Family Fest will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 9am – 3pm at the Berry Center. See the Family Fest web link for how you or your church can participate.
