Elliott Scott has been a pastor in northwest Houston since 1997. As the pastor of a local church, he has a deep commitment to see the love of God take tangible form in our community. He helped to found Mission Cy-Fair because he believes the church shouldn’t just talk about God, but rather should show forth who God is. As Jesus said, “Let your good deeds shine for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” (Matthew 5: 16).
As the Spiritual Director of Mission Cy-Fair, it is his desire and responsibility to ensure that a commitment to Jesus Christ undergirds all that is done by the ministry. His duties include serving as a permanent non-voting member on the board, providing spiritual support to the staff and volunteers of Mission Cy-Fair, and working to ensure good cooperative relationships between Mission Cy-Fair and the Body of Christ in our area.
Elliott was raised in the Houston area and attended Baylor University and Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. He has served in churches in Virginia, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas. He and his wife, Allie, have five children – a set of triplets and a set of twins.
